Sean Dyche turned to the new striker early in the second half, sending him on in the 54th minute as Forest chased the game. Lucca delivered what Forest brought him for — a goal — rising to plant a header past the Leeds goalkeeper in the 86th minute, even if it only reduced the damage late on.

Lucca arrived in January on loan from Napoli, with Forest holding an option to make the move permanent.
